Rare bitters on Ebay?

This one was on Ebay, i didn't bid, cause I figured it couldn't be real. Now I'm starting to wonder !

I wouldn't sweat that one... looks like a Denver Bottle show or club commemorative to me.
I'm sticking with that before I start to second guess myself!

Yeah, Mike ,that's what I assumed, but I thought it was odd that it was 1870 and not 1970, and the pontil looked real. But I think you are right

Downeastdigger: I just dont get that warm, fuzzy feeling about that bitters bottle when looking at the listing. The very poor, dark quality of the pictures, coupled with the somewhat generic, non-specific, embossing on the bottle adds up to a fantasy or commemerative bottle to me. Frankly I'm surprised the bottle did as well as it did. I agree that you shouldnt sweat missing that one. I sure wouldnt.
