I have shown the Stiegel scent bottles before however the post has been deleted .
Since that time I have begun to collect fancy low to mid 1800s colognes. The tall aqua colored ones in the picture
are the Twin dancing Indians,The Monument, The fancy lyre ,The Gothic Night ,The rectangilar fancy design, and
The fancy banjo shaped scroll bottle. All are featured in the Helen Mckearins book American Bottles and Flasks and Thier Ancestory
on pages 390 through 407.
At the bottom of the group picture lie the Stiegel scent bottles. These are older with some of them coming
from the 1760s up untill 1800.The dark green scent bottle is extremly rare, along with the minature cobalt one.
The others are also rare just not extremly. They are featured in the same book on pages 368 through 377.
All the bottle's have pontils, some (the twisted scent clear ones) are made of flint glass.
Most are American made however some came from Europe. The dark green twisted scent bottle is extremly rare
and only a couple are known to exist. The bottle has all of the attributes as to being made in Manheim Pennsylvania
at Wilhem Henry Stiegels second glass house.

The fancy Lyre with a flared lip. This one I am guessing to be from the 1830s
