Hey Mike, I do some good ole research and detective work, just like you land lubbers do when you're looking for a good spot. I check out the maps, old photos, books, post cards and look for where people dumped their trash.
If the houses were close to the water, why would they dig a hole or bury it in their yard or over a rock wall... they looked for the easier way out just like a lot of us do (specially those guys down in Seminole, AL)
They looked at the water and thought, out of sight... out of mind. splash...
Anyway, sometimes the bottles don't come up so easily and sometimes it can be hit or miss, I take it day by day.
