Hi all...
Maybe some of you Great Brits could help out with this one...
A Ricketts bottle just sold on ebay; it was sealed:"Doneraile House"... The tag on the bottle I thought was misleading... It said the Rickett's Glassworks was liquidated in 1805, suggesting a date range of 1790-1800... Similar bottles are currently on another auction, listing the dates in the latter half of the 19th century; as well, the Rickett's Co. in some form lasted into the 20th century, I believe...
I was also wondering if folks knew anything about Doneraile House, supposedly part of a "Gentleman's Village" in North Cork, Ireland... Could the Synan family or perhaps the St Legers have had those bottles produced?
Ron
