Hear in Michigan I talked to a guy that did under water welding in Boat Marinas, he had a name for all that concrete, he said they call it Rip Rap or something like that. LEON.
That's right Leon. Riprap is still correct terminology whether it is busted chucks of concrete slabs or natural stone--the term is not restricted to shot rock.

I do pretty good diving on old rip rap / farm dump rock piles. The bottles like to nestle into the rocks. This must be newer rip rap?

No rip-rap at this location; most of it looked like fieldstone.

Experiencing the same thing in the dump I'm currently searching (on land). Lots of scrap concrete/stone/brick was used to fill/cap the dump, and crushed most of the good bottles. Leads to a lot of heartbreaking discoveries!
