That ancient spearpoint is a beauty! It beats most bottle finds anyday. Keep searchin those sandbars for more points, that's the main thing you should be lookin for on them.

That point is so cool....I have dug a lot of Indian flint points and scrapers, etc but never anything that nice. Way to go. We have a lot of midden sites up here on the coast and the river inlets which can be fun to dig when you're wanting a change of pace from bottle digging. I've found some pretty decent pieces on the rocky beaches around here,too. What's in those dumps up the river from you? Have you dug those?
