Ok...I know this isn't an onion...or a sealed black glass ale...It isn't so many things...It is however a pretty great bottle that I found years ago. It came from an 1850-80's dump.
It is a sealed bottle with the layed on seal embossed old champaign cognac with the date 1795....
Man, with the last dicussion we had over the 1849 D.L.Ormsby I hesitated on even placing this on the forum....but I think we can be mature.
What-cha think...the date is..... a patent date...the date the business started....the date the contents were put in the bottle...a date commemorating some event....I'm at a loss.
The bottle has a kickup (not pontil) with a single dot in the center. The layed on ring top barely cover the razor edge of the neck on which it was layed...It has heavy whittle..
The shape of the bottle suggest an 1870's-1880's bottle...Must be European because of the spelling of Champagne....
Have you seen this bottle?
