I was searching the woods today around where an old Victorian mansion once stood and found the scattered fragments of a ceramic bottle. I collected the fragments and reconstructed what I had to make this:
It isn't complete but there is more than enough to see one full side, and it just so happens to be the side with the manufacturer's stamp.
The manufacturer stamp indicates it was made by Buchan Portobello Pottery in Scotland. This company produced ginger beer bottles from 1867-1900.
Does anyone know if there was any variation to this bottle's production history that could further specify its date of manufacture within the aforementioned time period? Thank you
