One recent Saturday afternoon my wife annouced that she was going to bring the kids to visit her parents. Hmm.. it's 3:30pm, do I have time to line up and start a dig or should I wait until Sunday morning? I'm not going to wait until the morning! So I set out, my second permission request turns out to be a "yes". By 5:30pm I have probe in.....

What an oddly shaped privy. I don't want to say it, but I hope this IS a privy! This thing is 4 feet long and is just over 2 1/2 feet wide... It is narrow to say the least!

It's now about 7:30pm, looks like the neighbor activated his burglar alarm.. The dogs are trying to dig their way under the fence. This is nerve racking!! I'm going to call it a night.

Good luck tomorrow, or whenever you restart it...

It's Sunday morning and I'm back in the hole. After about an hour of moving dirt I find this shard. This is a welcomed sign that this pit might be old. I'm about 3 feet down and my probe is still going in all the way.. This pit is worth sharing and I need the help.

Help arrives, we get down to the use layer and the bottles are coming out... What more could I ask for?

My share (all cleaned up) that include a couple of local meds, a worm specific, and a Seitz Bros. all surrounded by shards from 2 tea pots that I will try to glue back.

Thanks for checking out my dig.
