Anyone know how to tell a repro Simon's (G. Washington figural in aqua, SB) from the real deal???

RON...Clevenger Bros made a couple of variants. One has the initials CB. A few have been seen with "ghost" embossing, but otherwise the Clevenger's are un-embossed and may have pontil scars.

The mouth finish is different on the originals from the repos. Many repos have a sheared mouth. The shape of the base is all "wrong", too.
I know you can tell the diff between the originals and the Wheatons, so won't get into that.
The Clevenger Bros. thread has on page 2, some pics of a repo and an original.
The ones made for Chas. Joaquin Brandy are so marked on the base....and occur in mostly cobalt blue, but there are aqua examples.
