I have know ideal were Max is coming from. The owner of the property was the one who told us to dig it all up if we liked. In fact she was really angry about the neighbors complaining an causing us to fill the hole the first time .And as you can see thing were aranged so we could continue.Thank you very much .Also as mike said the property was left filled tamped and graded in as good a shape as it was or better.I belive Mike would tell you that this dig has all ready lead to more permissions.I'll stop there before saying something mean.
Thank every one for your comments and good luck digging and finden.

The transite pipe hanging in mid air is either for water or sewer and likely passes through the lot to service adjoining properties. I’m assuming because it was left in place that it’s active. It’s brittle because it’s made with cement and can crack or break with the slightest deflection. If the soil underneath it wasn’t properly mechanically compacted in lifts when put back, the static pressure will cause it to break and it’ll be going down like the Titanic. Then who do you think will be blamed & responsible for the disrupted service & repairs? It’s things like this others have done that have caused big problems for us, property owners & contractors in the past. Hopefully they plan on installing a new service pipe and re-compacting the soil to the depth you dug so there’s no problems. [/align]

First the pipe that you see is in fact not Transite, It is cast iron. I'am sure the colors throwing you off. Second it is a single sevice line to the main sewer in the alley . And lord forbid something sude happien we'll be in there to have it fixed to code right away ol buddy .I always back my diggen buddys and the property oweners.
It seem that you Max just want to pick and show how much you know. This is not the first time you have had negative thing to say after my posts . My be you fill I'am just an ol hillbillys who can't do anything with out messing it up uh.Or may be you just one of those busy body that can't mind there own biz wax and say something nice.
I understand giving a guy head up on something that could be dangerous but you go pass that. Ya know going through your post I noticed that you have never posted a dig whats up with that? Any way sorry to the rest guys an gals but this guys a tool and can kiss my billy goats arrr.

Did I hear you say that you all pulled a Reeds and a Blue Licks outta there? Would love to see the better stuff like that! Hopefully the other Maysville crock is in a little better shape than the one pictured, but even if they are both dinged up a bit... still Good digs. Can't believe you all are digging in this Heat! There would have to be historical flasks and iron pontiled sodas coming out of a hole to get to to dig right now!!! LOL Looks like Fun... sure do miss going to Maysville for digs.

Hey Chris that was a Read's Dog Head Ale from London England and a common Blue lick in teal with a crown top. This dig was not to far down the road from you. Also we dug at night under lights. The other crock was larger and in better shape. There was a broken Cooper@Poser from Maysville that would have been a real super one.A local soda from were we dug.
Thanks for looken .

Cool. You had me going for a minute there! I thought, Damn... a Reeds AND a Blue Licks in one dig! Oh well, at least yall did get some keepers and the crocks made it worthwhile for sure. Give me a hollar whenever you guys need an extra hand. I don't get to get out very often, but still like to fling some dirt when I get the chance.
