Had a fun dive yesterday, long stretch of river, 15 feet deep or so, lots of stuff, wish I could dive all winter. The water cold, but I'm fine down there for an hour or so, then all of a sudden it hits, and I need to get out pretty quick.

I was so stoked to find this ink! I dug one in NH years ago, but it was stained very heavy and cracked. This one is perfect, and deeper aqua than the other one. It's embossed "Hooker's Ink". I think it is a Boston company.

I studied in a couple of pottery books I have, and it says this dotted line is called " penny roulette decoration". It says the potter would take a penny (or something like it), and cut notches in it, and use it the way you would slice pizza using a pizza wheel. Thought that was pretty cool. I think this spot has a lot more to be found.

Hope you liked the pix, thats it.

Wow, I love that ink and pottery. I wonder why they would have more than one pen rest. I always loved the ones with the pen rests.
