I have to just thank Tom for all of his local (and some not local) extras, that he graciously gave to me today. I'm so happy to have found such a friendly forum, where the majority of the people are just so enthused about their hobby. It's rare to find that these days, and I really appreciate everyone being so helpful (and giving) with both their knowledge and time. Tom, it was such a pleasure to see your collection and really see what it's all about. So thank you, and of course, my kids thank you too. They were SO excited to go through these boxes. My son, particularly. "Mom, look at this one, it's SO OLD!!!" (naturally, at 4.5 he thinks his mother is "really old" too, and the inability to conceptualize time in anything other than episodes of his favorite tv shows, I don't really hold that against him [;)] I'm glad he's so enthused about it. I probably have the only two preschoolers who pretend to be Mike and Frank from American pickers.

It's always great to see the young ones get an itch for good bottles! That "itch" will grow and by the time they're my age they'll be great "
Bottlaires!"

Statia,

Thanks for stopping by! It was a pleasure to meet you, I always enjoy talking bottles, especially with people that appreciate old glass. Enjoy the bottles, I was never one who kept every single bottle that I dug, and I am constantly pruning my collection, so I am glad they've gone to a good home. Thanks again for your kind words, we'll have to plan a family dig some time!

Definitely. Now that things are settled down, I want to start looking for Privys around here, but I'm not ruling out dumps either. I'm still interested in both. Is that allowed? [:)]
