Summer/Winter Flask from NC Civil War Union Camp

Seek information on this Summer/Winter Flask. Date? Type of manufacture? Pint or Half-Pint Size?? 6.5" x 3 3/4", bluish aquamarine. This flask was recovered from Camp Armory on Madame Moore's Lane, New Bern, NC. It was excavated from the camp’s brick lined trash pit, circa 1862-1864, as the camp moved in 1865. Camp was used by soldiers from several regiments including the 10th Connecticut, 44th and 45th Massachusetts and 3rd New York Cavalry. Well, first, those pictures are really small but I also wonder... does Wesleyan have a library? They aren't known as far as manufacturer that I know of but I suspect somewhere in the Pittsburgh area. Could be Baltimore as a second choice for me. I don't have any new books, just the old standards.As far as size, fill it and measure what comes out. They weren't perfect measure but it's close.Damn, maybe my high school guidance counselors were wrong and I could have gone to college.

Eric,Thanks for your response, or lack of. Yes Wesleyan has a library, probably not any books on Flasks. I thought the measurements might denote size, but your method of measurement is sound. I guess it might be Improved pontil? Maybe you take your counselors advice, it's not tooooooooo late.

I can't see a pontil scar at all. I see the seam traversing the bottom quite clearly, though.

I don't see a pontil scar either, so is just hinge mold base. nice color. could be Baltimore...........
