RE: Another Super Rare Coke $3700.00!!!

LOl he's not the seller of the first one.
I think the thread was started as a comparision of what a fantasy price for a nothing coke is and uncle jarvis's is a (well set up for someone else) but still a bottle with real value.

look like a joke between the good one and the very bad one lol

Description from eBay listing ... (Red are my comments on each)

Super Rare Coca-Cola Bottle ... Not rare at all

Year is unknown but it looks like a 1915 ... Made in 1956 and a 10 ounce. 1915 hobbleskirts are 6 ounce

No markings on where it was made ... Most, if not all of the mid-1950s 10 ounce bottles have no location on them.

Printed on bottom: 4L56 ... Again, 1956. Probably a Lauren's bottle

Printed around bottle: Coca Cola Trademark Registered in US Patent Office ... U.S. Patent Office = Introduced early 1950s

10 fl oz -Green glass - embossed letters - 9.5" tall ... Coca Cola transitioned from embossed bottles to acls starting in 1955

Small chip under lip of bottle (see pic) ... Devalues it even more from a $2.00 to a 50-cent bottle

Non-smoking home ... I've never heard of a smoke exposed bottle that couldn't be cleaned

Please see my other listings ... Thanks but no thanks

Thank you ... You're welcome

Hmmmmmmmm, somebody must have missed the posting where one of our resident know-it-alls has an adage about 'respectable dealers' starting their bottles at $9.99.

Wait wait wait, the second is from HUNTINGTON?! I live 50 miles away from there. I'll have to look into seeing if there might be any laying around undiscovered [;)]

I usually always start my bottles at .99 .. . Your right . I lowered the starting price on the two others I'm selling to how I usually list them.

That Huntington is a nice one. Rated as a rarity 4 (Tim's book). I believe it is the only one without the design it used for the rest of it's SS Coca-Colas. Obviously...Uncle Jarvis has it a bit overpriced...but it is a nice $250-$300, or at least I would buy it for that.
