I bought this little Cobalt Bottle from a freind this weekend, and was wondering what you guys could tell me about it. It isnt listed in Matt's new Book, and when I mentioned it to some Baltimore People at Shupp's Grove On Sat. they had never heard of it. Clearly an Emerson Drug Co. Knock off. I pictured it next to a regular Bromo for comparison. My freind dug 2 of them last summer just north of Albany NY. He doesnt sell on Ebay, so I bought one from him to try on there. It goes live later on today. Another Digger freind of ours says it comes in a larger size too. Have any of you come across this one in your travels? We have never seen it, and it seems like we have dug hundreds of Bromos. Thoughts?

Interesting bottle. it was apparently a product called Fyso for headaches.
It may have been just different enough to avoid a bromoseltzer law suit.

Hey Matt, Nice talking with you this weekend. How did you do with your book sales? I saw quite a few people walking around with one under their arm. Looking at these two bottles side by side you can see the slight differences. Funny how the embossing style and font are so close. As is the size. Be curious to see what the interest is on Ebay.

I sold about 17 books which made it worth going.
I hoped to sell at least 20 but I think the impending weather situation kept people away.

Hey Mark,

Cool Bromo knock off. I've not seen one before. There's one @ etsy.

"BROMO SEDLITS Bromo Drug Co BALTIMORE MD Quack Medicine
Album Item measures about 3 1/2" x 5 7/16". I believe the scans I use describe the cards better than I can, so look closely. Up for auction is a Rare Victorian trade card compliments of The Bromo Drug Co, Baltimore, Maryland advertising Bromo Sedlits a safe cure for headache, sea sickness, neuralgia, overworked brain, sick stomach, etc..." From.

"Bromo Sedlits" is the name of a new
granular effervescent salt for the relief of
headache, neuralgia and nervousness, etc.,
put up by the Bromo Drug Co., No 6
West Pratt street, Baltimore, Md." From Pharmaceutical Era, 1893.
