From the Wednesday November 24th addition of the Poulsons American Daily Advertiser comes an advertisement for Flint glass.
Proof that by Nov. 24th 1819 the New England Glass Company had already produced glass and was selling it through a Philadelphia agent named Cheever and Fales at No. 17 South Front Street. By this time the factory was built there was glass already made and there were catalogues to choose inventory from. This again proves that Flint glass was indeed being made in The United States very early and these works made a high quality type of tableware in large numbers. This is an editor's copy of this newspaper that is why you see all of the hand written numbers in each ad.
