Last weekend I hit our local monthly antiques market in Kansas City and got the hand tooled crown top Independence Bottling Works bottle for a price I was willing to pay. Yesterday I found the Independence Bottling Works hutch. I have been looking for one for over 10 years, since I found out there was such a critter. I am missing at least two more bottles in this run. There is an IBW machine made and an IB Co with four parrots on the bottle. The most common bottles from this company are ACL's with a parrot on them. Polly's Pop if you ever see one. There is an earlier bottler in Independence named Dan Dougherty that I got off the hutch book, but I have not, as yet found one of those either. The Henry Durholt bottle was purchased through a west coast auction company from a collector in St. Joseph, MO just up the river from here. I have had the Durholt bottles on the left and right since the 1970's. I think I saw a true hutch from Durholt at one time.To the hunt!Scott
