"Thrill" Soda Bottle

Pretty cool bottle but wondering what this was, where from, age, any value? The bottom has the diamond with an 'I' in it (Illinois glass?) and a number 1 under that. The small writing on the lower part of the bottle is hard to read...possibly 30? Thank you very much for you time and info.

Has a Art Deco look to it which could put it into the 1920's & 30's. the 30 could be a date. it looks to be from around that time frame? Leon.

Definitely looks like some of the sodas I pull out of a dump I've dated to right around 1930.

Now that you say that, I think we found doing research that Green & Green was on Karbach St. where the brewing company is now. We were going to go down there to see if there is anything left of the company. I have done so much research on these bottles that I am forgetting which is which. We are now trying to sell out whole 'collection' of about 80 bottles on FB for $150. But not the Thrill bottle...we don't want to be singing 'The thrill is gone'!! haha

I have 5 Thrill and 1 (same design) Thriller. The only one of those 6 that has a recognizable date code has a date code of 1930. Two of the Thrill bottles are bluish and have designs previous to the one shown by OldBot The other 4 (two are 6oz and two are 9oz) have the same design as OldBot's bottle.

I have an emerald green style just like yours from Sand Rock AL but it was made at the Root glass company with a 1930 date code. Yours is either 1930 or 1931. Illinois diamond logo stopped about that time and Owen -Illinois logo started 1931.

I have shared a good number of pics of the bottles for sale on here over the last several weeks...we really were looking for a place to take all of them (around 100)...it wouldn't be feasible to send 1 or 2 by mail. Also, from what I am understanding here, we don't have 'collector' quality bottles of much value anyway. Just interesting to know their history and origin which I have learned here. Thanks for asking though.
