I love digging for ACLs! They are so much more shallow than anything else (4-6ft).

i didn't realise Mug Root Beer had been around that long , it replaced Hires Root Beer here years ago but never really liked it

I had no idea either.
It's in amazing condition too! The big Sprite bottle as well.

the sprite's can sometimes survive in really good condition , i found one swimming in a river once that cleaned up and had a white label too . although found others that didn't clean up so can depend . the sprite is from the mid 60's

the Mug might not of been sold in canada until more recently , i've never found older ones here

I saw the Sprite on my way out.
It was on the surface, wedged into a tree that was growing around it!
It's a 1969 national parks one.

This is a promising spot. Doubt I'll find much (if any) pre-1900 stuff, but lots of soda and beer bottles!
Hopefully some rare/cool ones.
