I just got this from that nice lady who put boxes on my porch.
Not only is this jar not listed (one star) but there are no pints listed in the series with the 1867 date. Light whittle and very near mint with only minor signs of use. The lid is in OK condition but does have just a trace of the stamping.
I had hoped for more crudity but this one will not find a home there.
George

Pints seem to be scarce/rare in most of the early jars. I think that it was a matter of having to put as much effort into the preserving of a small amount of food as into a larger amount. Canning today is MUCH easier and pints are much more practical.
I understand the beating on the door concept. Rare, early pints do not last long when offered for sale. George
