Very small snuff bottles

Sorry, no photos today, My IPad is on the bottom of the Perdido River!

I dug amongst other bottles two very small brown snuff bottles.

They measure 2 1/2" high, by 1 1/4" narrow sides, by 2" wide front/back.
They are made in the same style as the more common brown snuff bottles. One has a dot on the bottom the other is clean.

Anyone have any info on these 2 small snuffs?

I wonder if they could be sample sizes, that seems like a pointlessly small amount of snuff otherwise.
