With any new home town its got to be checked out, I've been here just over a year.
This is an old mining and lumber town with lots of foundations around, plus was a mecca for the early sports fishermen in the mid to late 1800's.
Was talking to a chap the other day here in the village, he's a bit of an historian.
And I was asking about any old dumps around, well talk about hitting the mother lode, this guy as a list of all the dumping sites for the village.
He told me of a couple which I checked out, they both look very promising with lots of nice surface shards, and I've got a feeling no one as dug them, looks pretty virgin to me.Plus its mostly flat limestone across both sites, so most stuff is going to be close to the surface.
I will hopefully check them out before the snow flies, and I will keep you posted on the outcome.
