Some of the finds of the weekend dig, I found many these are just a few...any info on these would be greatly appreciated...thanks again for your replies..
Congrats on finds. Hope there was a cold Belikin or two after the dig.
With most people probably digging for Mayan relics, bottles would seem to be an after thought. I would have figured that digging would be frowned upon or had regulations. Maybe the colonial period doesn't matter much when there are Maya sites getting ripped out for roads.
Sad about the maya ruins getting torn up like that....hopefully the law will take its course...there is alot of infrastructur works going on right now in the city..alot of streets are being dug up...also alot of high building are going up so piles have to be driven and deep excavations for pile caps have to be done...hence alot of bottles popping up...good time for bottle hunting...
The small bottle has the following "Bristol's Pills, Vecetales, New York, Pildoras De Pildoras de Brsitol.
The larger bottle has " Life's Syrup, Reuter's, New York"
The Mid size one has Tricopherous For the skin and hair, New York, Directions in Pamphlet, Barry's"
interesting, a Spanish export Bristol's Pills. There were a number of patent medicines produced in Spanish for export.
The Reuters is an uncommon , fairly early bottle. I have one.
