Why did this go so high? I have at least 5 quarts and pints Congress & Empire in my case at the Coxsackie Antique Center for $65 - $50 and can't sell them. Mine are all mint, I even have a black glass (mountain glass) quart Congress & Empire for $175 and it doesn't sell! All mint and I'm running a 20% off sale right now - what's going on? Am I missing something on that auction?

the bidders and the bidding pattern look a little odd. wonder if some " funny " business was going on.......

I really doubt that, Steve is a well known and respected dealer, more likely that two bidders got into a bidding war not knowing what they are doing. It has happened to my stuff I have sold before, you just sit back and smile when they go at it, I just wish it happened more often.....Bill

Just because he has a lot of feedbacks doesn't necessarily mean he is a bottle guy and knows what he is doing. I have massive ebay records and was able to figure out the underbidder was tower6969 , this is a link to his bids, http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidItems&userid=tower6969%20&sort=3&page=2&rows=200&completed=1&all=1

I think the lists of bids tells the story very well, in this case, Steve is just a lucky guy
