I think some kind of soda came in this as it has a lip for a bottle cap. It is 11 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter. On the bottom is embossed I believe the Duraglas emblem with a 3 on the left and a 7 on the right hand side with a 1 below. In embossed lettering below all that is DES. PAT. 96105. Going up toward the neck the bottle is ribbed and is in three tiers. Also where it is ribbed it is almost square vs. round like the bottom. My Dad was going to throw this one away and I just thought it was a bit unusual, so I saved it from the trash.

Hey Rick, Thats an Owens trade mark. The bottle could have been a drink consentrate, sauce, catsup/ katchup or even soup. That style lip finish was used on many different styles of bottles even before the crimp cap was invented.

Nice bottle.

Here's the patent info on your bottle. It does not say what it was for, just dates etc. Like Cap said looks like a fancy ketchup to me? The 7 to the right of the IO mark is the date probably 1937.

I believe your bottle is like the one I have pictured below. It is a blue and white ACL soda bottled called POLAR CUB BRAND SPARKLING BEVERAGES. On the back it says "A product of Snow Crest Beverages, INC. Salem, Mass.

The ACL features snow capped mountains and a polar bear.

I have this bottle at home I will take a picture and post it tommorrow. It had a paper label That says get wise polar size. It has a picture of an owl instead of a polar bear. Its called polar cola. and dates somewhere around the 20's to 30's.
