Hello All!So my little sister just bought me this small bottle from an antique shop (don't you love it when your family and friends support your addiction!) and I'm trying to figure out what's inside! I'm guessing it's medicinal, although every time I look at it I think of Holy Eucharist. Anyone have any idea what this might be? The base is stamped WYETH, which I believe is the bottle maker, and it appears to have an applied rounded lip, so I'm guessing the bottle is pre-1900.Any help is most appreciated!

Hi Suzanne, Pretty sure Wyeth industries was involved with pharmaceuticals. Google them up!

Hi Suzanne, welcome to the forums. I don't have time to look it up to make sure but what I think you have is a "tooled top" (not applied) early 1900s medicine tablet bottle made FOR Wyeth who, I believe, manufactured and distributed all sorts of medicines. The link supplied should give some insight to their position but I'm quite sure they did not make the bottle. Thanks for sharing your gift with us. Good Luck with your collection, perhaps we can help again. Jim

If you have an friendly, older local pharmacist, he might be able to tell you something by just looking at the tablets. Don't know if you can get the cork out. If so, he may be able to do some quick test on one of them. Otherwise, you could send one to a lab for chemical analysis, but that'll probably cost more than it's worth. It all depends on just how curious you are about it.
