I don't know if it broke any records but it is a great color, possibly Lyndeborough and maybe rare in any color.I'd never pay that much but I don't collect bottles... or have the money.

Just another great example of Color Color Color and what it means to our hobby, I dug a Dyottville, glass works Phila. blob soda that had made its way out here to Sacramento in the 1850s, in a great teal green color and still have it, have been offered big bucks for it, but I found it at the 12 foot level in one of the first privy holes that I had dug, so it isn't going anywhere, if I knew how too post pics I would do so, but my computer is too ancient for that here on this site.................Andy

I've never seen an example of this bottle in any color, so in this case it was a very rare bottle in a beautiful color. There are several other NH blobs in this color. Dave B. buys a lot of his bottles for resale...not everything he has up he dug.
