Just moved 3000 miles back to MD from San Diego. Going on a dig this Saturday. Excited, as I haven't dug since 2011! I haven't been on this site for a long time. Good to drop in.
Looking for any info on hayes brothers chicago, Illinois. Also looking for any info on Cicero Bottling Works. Just starting out with a few bottles. Ever did this before, bit this bottle collecting could be addictive. Greetings from Illinois!

I live about an hour away from New Hope. Let me know if you still need assistance. I'm 61 and still going strong.

Been to New Hope and Lambertville many times. I'm pretty sure the Delaware banks are loaded with bottles, etc.
Hello deepbluedigger!

I am a writer and curator investigating gin in Africa and I would love to find out about the bottles with the word AFRICAN embossed on the side. I guess it is a British bottle but was it filled with Dutch gin? Do you happen know why it was labelled in this way? When did they stop making these bottles? Where are most of them sourced?

If you happen to know yourself or know of someone who could help I'd love go hear from you...

Many thanks in advance

Hello!

I'm looking for information on C19th gin bottles with the word AFRICAN embossed on the side. Anyone have any info or leads to someone with more information?

Hi LC. Hope you have been doing great and finding lots of bottles. Years ago you and I messaged back and forth about a green glass TAB acl bottle you have. I told you it was a nice, good one. Is this a bottle you would sell or trade? I would love to own it.
