Blue ball jar with a cross on it

I went garage selling the other day just outside of Toledo. I came across an old ball jar with a cross on it. I also believe it said patent 1858. It was only ten dollars, but I passes it up. Should I have bought it at that price? Does anyone know when it could have been actually made.

Anybody From Bloomington Indiana?

Hello. I live in Bloomington, Indiana and am looking for someone to go on some digs with. I personally dont have any spots and have never dug up a outhouse, but I love bottles and manual labor and I dont mind getting my hands dirty.

Wanted Indiana medicine or soda bottles

Im fairly new to the art of collecting bottles, but I would like to add to my collection. I would prefer pre 1900's medicine or blob top soda bottles; especially if there from Bloomington, Indiana. I'm trying to collect more common bottles in good shape at this time. Send me some pics and prices...

Need help identifying L. D. Clauss Crown top Soda bottle

I recently dug a 28oz aqua crown out of a hillside. The seem ends below the top about 2 inches, so I believe it is before 1905. The bottle says registered and right below it is an oval with writing. Inside the oval is L. D. Clauss curved around and Allentown, Pa curved below. Capacity 28oz...
