    bottles are worth less now?

Bottle prices have gone nuts in Australia for the past couple of years and getting higher all the time, there has been a few that have dropped over the years (mostly middle of the road items) for various reasons. Examples, there was a fair few 26 oz Frankston springs all white ginger beers...

    Bottle digging ethics?

It can be hard to find decent people to get out and dig with, if you dig with as many people as you can and weed out the untrustworthy and those you just plain don't like in time you will form a small group you can trust. The group of diggers I often go with is a good example, we are all...

    Torpedo Bottle

The Torpedos with "K" on the base are from the Kilner Brothers Glass works in England, they are pretty common finds in Australia and the UK but probably not so easy to get in the US. Bottlenutboy is spot on about the reason they where made like that. Date is from the late 1880's to 1900.

    RIP

R.I.P. Steve Irwin. Nothing inappropriate in the photo's here, that was his job and passion so nothing wrong with a photo of a croc. I've never watched his shows so can't comment on them but he did a great job in practical conservation and wildlife managment and was a huge hit in the US...

    Harrison, Fitzroy Bottles

You called? [:D] I'm back. Nice torpedo, has it got a little C.S. Co (Cannington Shaw) or the like near the base? I bought one the other day and it's got that and I'm sure the usual one is M.G.B.W. made. The three way and bulb codds are fairly rare, the lamont was easy to get when the...

    Few latest finds

This is the other side of the ink showing the Pottery stamp and the pouring spout. That hairline looks worse in the photo, it's hardly noticeable in the flesh. It stands ten inches high.

    Harrison, Fitzroy Bottles

Finally got to taking a few photo's for Willman (and the rest of you [:D] ) to look at. This is a group of the Codd variations other than the usual Dobson patent (there are probably more than 15 variations of the Dobson one's too), these are (L to R) all-way, bulb or bulge and a three...

does anyone know anything about 32oz australian ginger beers?

Nice bottles Willman. I've got about 8 Harrison Codd's but still missing a few of the really common ones (13 ounce Dobsons from M.G.B.Co. and Kilner in both colours) I'll take a photo of my whole Harrisons group on the weekend and post it up here.
