Picked up a nice early Pepsi=Cola wood crate made for 24 six ounce bottles - presumably the 1929 "peanut" bottle listed by Ayers. The box ends have a four digit phone number along with the initials L.E.B.Co. which is likely Lake Erie Bottling Co. listed in the 1930 Blue Book.

Does anyone know when the Lake Erie Bottling Company started in Akron? They were not listed in the 1925 Blue Book.

Congrats!... Would love to see it if you get a chance to post a image.. Love crates especially the older rare ones.
Now you need to fill it with the correct bottles [;)]

Hi Mike, Toledo Lake Erie Bottling was unrelated to the one in Akron. Have you seen another Toledo My-Coca that looks like the Cleveland I posted?

It looks like a railroad crate..possibly. It appears to be much more heavy duty than the other crates from that time period.
