It may be common but some people collect them. I believe I have seen some in cobalt !

The rust just about proves (to me) they still used the bails on a crown late so that's a good point by itself.What's the year on that? It looks post 1929 but an original fitting.

The Citrate of Magnesia bottles are cool. I have found a few. I kept one because the embossing is really unique.

Hi Lisa this kind of logo are found on Magnesia bottle from the late 1920s and early 1930s the medical symbols show up on Rexall drug store bottles.

Sunrunner thanks for the info. It is funny because for years and years the only pharmacy around here was a Rexall.I think the date is 1931. After the Owens symbol it reads -1. Maybe 41. I am not going to mess with the stopper or bail because I don't want to break them.Lisa

I have a neat clear glass old bottle embossed with CITRATE OF MAGNESIA. I looked for it but it is in hiding I guess. Nice old hand blown one though. RED Matthews

Doctors use to use that for a colonoscopy and it wasn't real horrible. I hate the new stuff that requires a prescription.
