Bottles From Yesterday's Dig...

Here are some photos from yesterday's dig. Kileigh and my wife showed up to see how I was doing but I had already finished and was filling in part of what I had dug so I don't have any pictures of him or my wife for that matter to show. What I do have are some interesting finds. The 1st is the quart sized anchor flask still in the ground. Up to this point, I was pretty sure that it was a strap sided flask but didn't know that it had an anchor embossed on it. I believe that this may be from the 1870s and is attributed to the Baltimore Glass Works.

I have found 2 other variations of this Keller bottle before. Both of the others had UVA for the University of Virginia on them. The command over $200 apiece. This one maybe $50-$75.

I thought that this was a good one, a small soda but alas, no embossing.

I keep most of the inks especially when they are embossed. This one is embossed Carter's on the bottom.

Another Local, this time from another city other than Staunton. I'm thinking either Baltimore, New York or Philly. Anyone ever seen this before that knows for sure what city it is from?
