I found a 1858 patent mason jar with a cross on the bottom. I think it is quart size. It has a ground lip, which I think means pre 1900? I can't seem to find any info on the cross though. Most seem to have numbers. Any thoughts?
Is that better? From the pictures it looks like a # 1784 in the red book but better pics would help. The cross is a mold mark used to id which mold the jar came from in the factory. Nice find either way
