Hi generalcollector; I like the idea of you getting it for $ 5.00. The glass looks newer but the cement top is a good sign of it being old. I have one but it isn't that pattern.

I forgot to mention there is a salt watermark on the inside of the bottle that clearly shows where the saline solution was for many years. In addition to the watermark, the embossing is very faint in places. I figure that if it was a reproduction the words would be very clearer and easier to read.

P.S. You said you have one of these. Do you have any cleaning solution you would recommend to clean the inside and remove the saline watermark?

I wouldn't mind finding even a repro of one of these. Unless they tried to sell me it at the price of a real version but I don't think anyone would. How could you tell if it was a repro if It didn't state it flat out?
