Not sure if this bottle is pre- or post- 1900, but I found dozens of them while diving this morning. They are all 8 1/2 inches tall. They have an embossed eliptical shape on the bottom (should be able to make it out from the picture), but I can't read what is printed on any of the ones I have cleaned up so far. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they worth hauling up?

Their ginger beer bottles. Most likely made in England or Scotland. Looks 1860-1890ish to me. If you keep looking you should be able to find one that you can read. I sold a solid cream colored one with no picture similar to that from a scarcely seen potter for $26 a few months back. So if you can ID the maker it could be a great find.

Yup, British ginger beer or stout bottles, roughly 1880 - 1910. Probably made in Scotland. The oval marks near the base are the pottery makers marks. The Scottish potteries produced some very high quality underglaze transferred bottles, so there might be some good ones among the pile.

Now that you know what they are, I would recommend hauling them up
If there are a bunch of them you could sell them for 5.00 each at a flea market and pay for your time spent finding them.

I see them a lot(different makers and different shades) and most aren't priced higher than $10.00, at least I don't think they should be since they were mass produced by the potters. I do like em and save some from a dig when I find them.
