green bottle, what is it?

Just pulled this out and i notice the top looks almost like a blob top? can anyone tell me about what kind of bottle this is? no markings just a cool green bottle. p.s. i cant find any seams on it.

Those are TOC era non-returnable beverage bottles, sold in quantities to companies who would have put paper labels on them to describe the contents.. I've seen labels for beer, mineral water, and malted milk on them. ROOT glass co. made quite a few of them..

thank u for the info :) i bet it was for beer , cuz i found 4 heilmans and 6 whiskey bottles all in the same hole. do you know if this bottle was made differently i do not see seam marks on the sides.

Yes, it was turn-molded.. means while the bottle was still hot inside the mold, they gave it a twist to remove the seam marks and give the glass a glossier finish..

Yeah me too ..I always wondered how they did that.. I like digging the turn molds cause they usually don't get nearly as sick as regular molded bottles..

I see what you mean abut these ones not being as sick. just cleaned this one up nice and it looks brand new . I like the cool air bubbles too! dang it if it was not raining i would be out now getting a few more. i really like these too.
