Been trying to identify this jar for a little bit, unfortunately I'm no expert. No markings on it other than the H under A along with 6948 and 7 on the bottom. If anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it!
These are known as "Skyscraper Jars" and were patented in the early 30s. Usually they date to the 1930s into the early 40s. The 7 beneath the four digit patent number probably indicates the year 1937. Could be wrong. I am not familiar with hazel-atlas date codes. People often put smalls in those jars like marbles and such. Not particularly valuable but still cool. I've found dozens of them and have seen original labels for various products from pickles to mayonnaise, Umeboshi (pickled plums) and macadamia nuts.
