I found several of these this morning in 1940's to 50's trash dump. They are 3" round and thick heavy glass. I'm guessing they are old coasters that people at one time used to put under furniture legs to keep from damaging the floors. However the "points" on the bottom side seem to be to sharp for that. The one that is colored glass is marked "E-Z" then it almost looks like the word "DIAL".

Here is close up of the colored glass, I can make out E-Z then looks like a 4 letter word ??AL

Okay I figured them out, E-Z SEAL These are glass jar lids. The indents on the top is where the clamping wire would hold to the lid.
