So I just found this bottle in Mississippi at an estate sale and was wondering if anyone could shine light on maker or a rough age range it could be. I’m lost at dating bottles because I can’t find the same one online and the lack of markings is throwing me off. It’s hand blown with a lot of bubbles looks like a 2 piece mold and has nothing on it but the “K” on the bottom and 3 dots. Thank you everyone!

Some people would call that Black glass. May be European made? I think ages varied widely on those & used over long periods of time. probably dates mid to late 1800's but just a guess, I'm no expert. LEON.

P.S. Welcome to the site.

I'd agree with Leon here - this is either a really deep green/olive, or what is known as "black glass". European bottle makers used older techniques such as black glass for a longer period of time, so this one could have a wide range.

Thank you for the reply and guess, I’ll have to check into that black glass to see if I can find a comp. I appreciate your input man

I’ll have to check into it, I figured it was old but didn’t expect it to be from out of country. I’ll have some research ahead of me!

Welcome to the forum! I'd call it an 1890s-ish (give or take a couple decades) British export beer bottle. Used to find huge numbers of them on Vancouver Island. Of course it's tough to be absolutely certain on the country or origin or contents, but it fits the general type. With just a single letter maker's mark (if that's even what the K stood for) it's hard to be certain who made it as well. I saw some speculation that it might have been Kilner Bros, but no way to know for sure at this point.

Way down yonder in New Orleans
Looks like a 3 part mold ale bottle in dark olive green (black glass). Dug many of them in the Big Easy, being a port city and all,I'd have to say most, if not all, were manufactured out of the USA. Usually date around C1880.
Now I did have one, very similar type(not a 3 part mold), that was a yellow color and was embossed C.L.Keppler New Orleans and it was a "medicated" mineral water manufactured here in the good old USA, so then, there's that.
