I picked this up yesterday and can’t find anything, anywhere, on this label only bottle. Generally, that’s a good thing but being label only-is it? Are labels making a comeback? Age seems 1880, ish. Any info (rarity, value, etc) is appreciated as always!

There were about 10 billion knockoffs of Paine's Celery Compound from the 1880's-early 1900's and this is another one to add to that pile. I couldn't dig up anything on the company either, which isn't totally surprising. With NYC being so massive, finding information on companies that only existed for a blip of time isn't super easy- stuff gets lost in the shuffle. Label only medicines can sometimes command a high value, but that's usually contingent on the city it's from having a strong collectors interest or is difficult to find examples from. Label-only NYC stuff from the turn of the century generally doesn't demand a high level of interest, but given it's an unreported example you never really know!
