has" gilt edge dressing" on the front, anybody know the make of the ink , if it is an ink or not , thanks

Hey Steve, It's binders gilt dressing. The gold stuff you find on the edges of the pages on a Bible. it was alst used to letter book bindings on the spine and cover. Cool.

I had forgotten that Whitemore Bro's used gilt edge as a brand name for their ladies shoe dressing.

The bottle looked small for binders gilt but that was the only thing that came to mind.
