I visited my uncles law office today and was surprised. He has an old ink bottle on his desk with a low seam and a nicely off-center neck. Its probably common, I didn't check, but thats not the point. I pick it up ever so gently and say, "THATS what I'm digging for." He asked if I wanted it and I said I'd rather dig my own. So he snatches it back from me and plunks it on his desk.

"Where'd you find it?"
"I dunno... picked it up somewhere."
"So you found it on the ground?"
"No, probably bought it."
"Any idea where?"
"I dunno."
"Cause if you picked it up off the ground I'd like to dig there."
"Well I didn't dig it. I think I got it from some antique shop."

He's not into antiques. Nor is he a bottlehead. Why the obfuscation? I doubt he'd even notice if it was gone. I think I'll try and obtain it, just so the durn thing has a better home.

Hey Isaac...

I'd go back to his office and pipe it...[] Then when he visits your house some day and he asks you where you found it, you can tell him the same thing... "I dunno..."[8|]
