S S Stafford 32 oz.bottles?

I have two clear glass bottles with S S Stafford Inc. in raised print on the bottom, and 32 oz. in raised print on the shoulder with what looks like a "1" opposite the 32 oz. mark. Does anyone know anything about these?

Hi Laurels, Welcome to the forum. What you have are master ink bottles. They were used to refill smaller ink bottles and date to fountian pen times, probable 1920s to 1950s.
There are older ones but they are usually colored glass.
