salesman sample beers

Here's something you don't see everyday, salesman sample beers. Chuck Meyer, known Baltimore Beer collector brought these in for the showcase at Friday's Baltimore bottle meeting. Besides a program we usually have a showcase of something a club member has interest in. These are 4-5 inches tall, bigger than the miniature salt & pepper beers and much older. Chuck brought in some miniatures and other things he collects. The three bottles on top of the case all have his first and last name embossed on them something I'll never find. The third pic shows folks voting on the annual January best of:1) dug 2) acquired 3) go with 4) Baltimore finds from 2013.

Maybe they're just beers for people who aren't very thirsty!!! [8D]

Hey, Went out and took a "dive" today and found this. I keep it just cause a 5" beer bottle looked odd. saw this post and thiught i'd throw it in. Don

I had a bunch of those S&P kind of things. Some had the holes, some didn't and some of those had liquid. None were more than 3" as I remember them.The ones you showed are cool! Mine were all paper label only.

These could have been salesman samples but most assuredly they were used as give-aways at fairs and events. Certain ones are quite difficult to find while a few others show up on a regular basis. I especially like embossed examples.
