Ok here is the story. While in college I worked in Erie, Pa. (1995). While working a juvinille probation with a kid I saw this at the front of the Salvation Army. I took it home and found numerous four leaf clovers, personal drawings, and other stuff. Including what looks like a generational history of the Maher family from Ontario. I took the bible to a dealer and they said that the prints inside, which are more than 1,000 have little foxing and the bible is in good to very good condition, except the binding which is an issue. He told me it would cost $50 to repair and then the bible would be worth maybe $100.
So I took it later, maybe 5 years to a guy that collects books and he found it online listed for over $400. But the binding. Anyway I would to get this to a Maher family member if possible. Worth more to them than it is on ebay. Any ideas?
