Recently dug this large size (pint) flask from "The Turf", which was a saloon where you could gamble on horse races; it was situated right across the street from Western Union and that enabled them to offer this service. The saloon ran from 1899-1907 and was run by Charles Miles Lusk. The Lusk family has been a prominent family in Houston for many years...really over the moon on this one. The half pints are super rare, but I wasn't even aware there was a pint until I dug this one. Love how the slug pate is installed crooked.
