unusual inclined rectangular depression

Hi,it's unusual just to me~(never seen)
What's the point of the rotation,anything to mean?

It appears too modern , for the odd type of ink bottle, most likely a 1930-50's perfume bottle.

Thank you CreekWalker,I think it's a 1930-50' perfume bottle too,but I don't know is the depression out of the alignment a common phenomenon that era,and the edge of the depression seems to be sharper than others?

The base formation is what is called an anomaly, something that happens once. Bottles are made with base plates which are separate from the sides and this time, this base plate shifted during manufacture. This may or may not happen again.
