I’m having my bathroom remodeled and the men found this bottle in a paper bag sealed in the wall- house was built 1960. They said the cap is used as a shot glass- any idea how old? No bourbon left in the bottle..

I suspect it's from 1960 if it was sealed inside the wall. Sounds like someone was drinking on the job - it was (probably still is) pretty common for construction workers to leave things like that sealed in walls. If you show a picture of the base there will likely be a date code there.

A local shop in my area did renovations last year and found that their wall had old trash instead of insulation! Very common thing especially in historically poor areas. They had all sorts of 60s bottles, cans, and newspaper come out.
